| We generally recommend to our clients that they install technology systems in vehicles, since this provides a ready source of secondary power, because personnel appreciate working in a vehicle, and most importantly because we can make a system easier to operate (and faster to deploy) when it is “built in”. System reliability always erodes when connectors are involved, as they are often the first point of failure, and we can minimize connectors in a vehicle. That said, the flexibility of deploying a transportable system just can’t be beat. Nearly any technology we can install in a vehicle, we can design into waterproof flight cases that can be transported nearly anywhere in the world by military aircraft and commercial air freight.
We offer nearly all of our technologies and products in custom-fitted flight cases, and have also packaged our customer’s legacy systems into flight cases as well.
These transportable systems are designed the same way we design vehicles and fixed communication systems – by first understanding the primary (and secondary) mission, the profile of personnel who will set up the equipment and operate it, and the geography in which it is likely to be deployed. We strive to make the system easy to use, obvious to set up, and easy to transport.
A transportable system from National Interop comes with laminated, color-illustrated documentation (custom to that specific system) and we provide training on those Standard Operating Procedures. |
