For the first time in at least two decades, public safety agencies enjoy real choice in products, vendors, and technologies in their communication systems.  No longer are we required to build our system from components provided by a single manufacturer.  A broad variety of manufacturers are providing choices that are offer higher quality and more features than ever, while steadily decreasing the cost of ownership.

At National Interop we are not obligated to any single manufacturer – we are a systems integrator.  This means we will work with any manufacturer or vendor, and help you select the best match for your needs and budget for each component in your system.  We of course have our strong opinions about which vendors and manufacturers will serve you best, but in the end, we will work with anyone.

We are also sensitive to the broad issues of system design:

  • implications of choosing an underlying technology
  • selection of equipment models & options (and vendors)
  • integration with legacy equipment
  • modifying (or creating) standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • training users to the SOPs
  • ongoing maintenance, provided either by National Interop or your existing staff

and of course, the all important constraint of the budget.
