National Interop helping the Seattle Police Department,
Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and Multnomah County
Emergency Management with Communications Interoperability

The company announces three interoperability projects in
the Pacific Northwest and a new Oregon facility

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept 21, 2007– National Interop, Inc. announced today that the
Seattle Police Department’s Homeland Security Section (Seattle, Wash.) has
selected National Interop to provide consulting on choosing interoperability
frequencies for their communications equipment, including their MCV (Mobile
Communications Vehicle).

The company also announced that the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
(Hillsboro, Ore.) has selected National Interop for a consulting project on using the
local, state, and national interoperability frequencies. Earlier this year the sheriff’s
office acquired more than 100 VHF and UHF radios for use in responding to
disasters and other emergencies, including Project25-compliant digital radios.

National Interop’s Oregon office is moving into new, larger facilities near the
Portland International Airport and the Oregon National Guard’s Portland Airbase.
The new facility can support multiple MCCV (Mobile Command / Communication
Vehicle) projects at the same time.

The first vehicle project in the new facility is the addition of broadband internet
satellite capabilities to the Multnomah County Emergency Management (Portland,
Ore.) mobile command / communications vehicle. The satellite unit will provide up
to 2 Mbps broadband internet capability for Multnomah County virtually anywhere
in the county or region, enhancing the capabilities of the incident command staff.
This can provide telephone, radio, and email connectivity during disasters and
emergency events, regardless of the condition of the local telephone and Internet
infrastructure.
